About this Program

Join us on an integrated Qur’anic journey that begins with mastering recitation and correcting pronunciation, deepens through understanding and reflection, and leads to its intended outcome: the purification of the soul and refinement of character.
The program explores Surah Luqman, whose verses trace a path of wisdom and shape a balanced believer in faith and conduct. From contemplating Allah’s creation and His laws in life to reflecting on Luqman’s comprehensive counsels, participants explore values that nurture faith, gratitude, humility, prayer, responsibility, and good character. They will move from understanding the verses to recognising how Qur’anic guidance deepens awareness of Allah, warns against following personal desires and arguing without knowledge, and guides us towards a life grounded in wisdom.

This program forms part of Al-Mujadilah’s strategic theme, which explores the Islamic vision for the well-being of individuals and communities.

- Recitation: Correcting the articulation and characteristics of Arabic letters and applying foundational Tajweed rules.

- Tadabbur: Understanding the verses and relating them to their context and the overall purpose of the Surah.

- Tazkiyah: Drawing a formative lesson from each passage and translating it into daily conduct.

The program aims to:

- Correct participants’ recitation and improve their pronunciation of the Qur’an.

- Build a conscious relationship with the Qur’an founded on understanding, not recitation alone.

- Cultivate wisdom and balanced character through the guidance and counsels of Surah Luqman.

- Deepen attentiveness and spiritual presence with the Qur’an, both during and beyond prayer.

- Establish Tadabbur as a consistent daily practice.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

- Recitation: Recite the Qur’an correctly while applying foundational Tajweed rules.

- Tadabbur: Derive meaning from a verse and relate it to its context with less reliance on direct explanation.

- Tazkiyah: Identify one personal lesson from each session, record it in «Reflections with the Qur’an», and apply it in daily life.

- Linguistic awareness: Develop an initial appreciation of the beauty and precision of Qur’anic word choice.

- Consistent practice: Build a daily connection with the Qur’an, even if through a single verse.

Mona Hassan Mostafa is a da‘iyah (Islamic educator and outreach specialist) at Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. She has 20 years of experience in Qur’anic education and Islamic outreach across several countries.
