About this Program

In this program we present level four of “Qur’anic Arabic," a special linear program that focuses on developing the receptive linguistic skills of non-native speakers of Arabic to help them read, understand, and synthesize the language of the Holy Qur’an while minimizing their dependence on translation. This will be a hands-on training program that will put into practice the Arabic vocabulary and grammar that participants have learnt in the previous three levels. Participants are offered the chance to work collectively over six sessions to discuss, analyze, and comprehend the verses of the Qur’an in the context of entire Surahs or their parts. The goal is to help trainees approach the Holy Qur’an in Arabic and connect directly with the word of Allah without having to resort to translation. 

Prerequisites 
(1) To have previously completed level 3 of the same program.
OR (2) to have a proficiency level of Arabic that allows you to understand the main individual components that are structured together to give an ayah its meaning (be it affirmative, negative, imperative, etc.), to distinguish the boundaries of a sentence from those of an ayah, and to decode bound pronouns and work out their referents.
